Want your dream smile sooner? It’s possible with Invisalign Express!
What if we told you there’s a way you could transform your teeth in just months?
A quick and easy treatment to straighten up your smile sooner?
Sounds like a dream, right?
Well, with Invisalign Express, it could soon be your reality!
If you need a less complex teeth straightening treatment, Invisalign Express could be right for you. So, let’s sink our teeth into the different types of Invisalign Express, how they work and who they work best for.
What is Invisalign Express?
The teeth straightening experience used to be pretty time-consuming — regardless of how much your teeth needed to move. If you wanted to perfect your pearly whites, you had to brace yourself for at least a year or two in the dentist chair to make it happen.
But not anymore.
Thanks to Invisalign Express, there’s now an effective way to straighten your smile in months!
Invisalign Express works in exactly the same way as all other Invisalign treatments, only quicker. It uses the same technology to determine the precise movement of your teeth and the same process to ensure a beautifully predictable result. The main difference between Invisalign vs. Invisalign Express is that the Express treatments use fewer sets of aligner trays. This means you’ll have a shorter treatment time.
There are two different types of Invisalign Express treatments: Invisalign i7 and Invisalign Lite.
What is Invisalign i7?
- A series of up to 7 aligner trays
- Average treatment time of around 3 months
- Ideal for minor irregularities and misalignments
What is Invisalign Lite?
- A series of up to 14 aligner trays
- Average treatment time of around 6 months
- Ideal for minor corrections or for people who have previously had orthodontic work but their teeth have drifted due to lack of retainer use
Is Invisalign Express right for me?
Of course, everybody wants straight teeth as quickly as possible. But, unfortunately, Invisalign Express isn’t for everybody.
Invisalign i7 and Invisalign Lite are designed for less complex cases. This means they are effective for minor dental issues such as:
- Minor crowding (less than 2mm overlap between teeth)
- Minor spacing (less than 2mm gap between teeth)
- Minor midline corrections
- Minimal rotation of teeth
- Relapse after previous orthodontic treatment
- Aesthetic smile improvements
Keep in mind your condition must be mild enough to be treated within the Express timeline. If your case is more severe, you’ll likely need to opt for a full Invisalign program, or perhaps even braces, to get those troublesome teeth back in line.
The best way to weigh up Invisalign Lite vs. Full for your smile is to book your FREE Invisalign consultation at Delight Dental Spa. Our friendly dentists will examine your teeth and help you determine which Invisalign treatment will work best for you.
But my teeth are only slightly crooked… Why should I bother getting Invisalign Express?
If your teeth only require a very minor improvement, you might be wondering whether it’s even worth it to straighten your smile with Invisalign Lite or Invisalign i7.
Sure, your teeth may not look too bad… but even slight crowding or misalignments can impact your dental health. Straight teeth are much easier to keep clean and they reduce your risk of gum disease. The alignment of your teeth also directly impacts how you hold your jaw and this can affect your body from head to toe — literally! If your jaw is not properly aligned, this can create issues in your neck, shoulders, back, pelvis and even your feet!

How much does Invisalign Express cost?
We get it. Straightening your teeth is a truly life-changing investment. And when you’re considering the right Invisalign treatment for your teeth, cost plays a huge role in your decision.
That’s why we’ve dedicated an entire post to the cost of Invisalign — head over there to find out more about the costs involved for each treatment.
To give you a quick rundown on the cost of Invisalign Express, it is typically less expensive than a full Invisalign treatment. Why? Because you’ll use fewer aligner trays and require fewer visits to the dentist. Generally, Invisalign Lite costs slightly more than Invisalign i7 due to the number of trays required.
Invisalign vs. Invisalign Express: What’s the difference?
One of the most common questions we hear at our Mascot dental clinic is: what is the difference between Invisalign and Invisalign Express?
The short answer? It all comes down to the number of aligners and the treatment time.
A full Invisalign treatment can typically last anywhere from 6 months to 36 months, depending on the complexity of the case. For an average Invisalign Full treatment, you’d be looking at around 20-30 sets of aligners.
Over in the Express lane, Invisalign Lite and Invisalign i7 treatments are usually done and dusted in about 3 to 6 months. Invisalign i7 will use up to 7 aligner trays during treatment and Invisalign Lite will use up to 14 aligner trays.
What if my teeth need more treatment after Invisalign Express?
If you opt for Invisalign Express but aren’t quite happy with your results, you can upgrade to a full Invisalign treatment afterwards. Your dentist will monitor your progress during your Express treatment and determine how many additional aligners you’ll need to achieve your dream smile.
